Dryden Workload is Shifting to UAVs

  • If it seems like uninhabited air vehicles are becoming a bigger and bigger part of Dryden's workload, that's because they are.

UAV Program Elements at Dryden

  • As UAVs play a larger and larger role in aerospace activity, so too will Dryden see more and more project work resulting from that increase. Here are the five areas of interest Dryden leaders have identified that will allow the Center to effectively carry out research missions anticipated for the immediate future.

  • An event designed to showcase uninhabited air vehicles put the spotlight on Dryden's power-beaming aircraft - literally.

Truly Added to Walk of Honor

  • The 2004 class of honorees for Lancaster's fourteenth annual Aerospace Walk of Honor event will be inducted Sept. 11 in ceremonies combining the local observance with national Patriot Day.

Dryden LDP Graduate Honored

  • Dryden engineer Brent R. Cobleigh was among 19 NASA civil service employees from nine centers who recently completed the yearlong Leadership Development Program at NASA Headquarters.

 

Close Calls System a Success

  • The Close Call system established at Dryden has given NASA employees an effective way to assess potentially dangerous situations. The program was instituted at Dryden in 1999 and was modeled after a similar safety program at Johnson Space Center in Houston.
