Take Me Out to the Ballgame

  • The Lancaster JetHawks celebrated NASA Night Aug. 13 by giving away "bobblehead" toys of two local aerospace legends. The bobbleheads, supplied by the JetHawks, depict Dryden chief pilot Gordon Fullerton and the late State Sen. William J. "Pete" Knight.



 

Shuttle Main Engines Test Successfully

  • Engineers at Stennis Space Center in Mississippi have successfully tested what is expected to be the last of three Space Shuttle main engines that will carry the next Shuttle into orbit.

     


 

Cassini Finds Two New Moons Around Saturn

  • With optics sharper than any that have previously peered at Saturn, the Cassini spacecraft has uncovered two moons, which may be the smallest bodies so far seen around the ringed planet.

 

Students Invited to Get a Taste of Real-world Science

  • NASA scientists continue inspiring the next generation of explorers as they invite high school students to participate in the Hyper-G contest, a new nationwide science competition. Deadline for entries is October 8, 2004.

 

Still Time to Make Ski Trip Plans

  • The annual NASA ski trip will be held Feb. 5-12 in Park City, Utah. The event is hosted by Langley Research Center and is open to all working and retired NASA employees, contractors, families and friends.
