NASA Dryden Awards Facilities Maintenance Contract to Helix Management Services

NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center has awarded a contract to Helix Management Services, of Lanham, Md., to provide facility operations and maintenance services at the center’s campuses at Edwards Air Force Base and Palmdale, Calif.

The firm fixed-price contract could be worth as much as $29.4 million over the five-year life of the contract. The contract covers a one-year base period beginning Nov. 1, 2013, four one-year options, and an indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity provision covering all five years.

Under terms of the contract, Helix will be responsible for initiating all maintenance and repair actions to ensure that Dryden facilities and assets are available and reliable to support the center’s research mission. Helix will be required to furnish all management, labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment and incidental engineering necessary for fulfillment of this contract.

Helix Management Services is a joint venture between Helix Enterprises and EMCOR Government Services of Arlington, Va., which has performed facilities operations and maintenance services at NASA Dryden over the past four years.
