NASA Dryden Offers Space Science Workshop for Educator

PALMDALE – Local educators are invited to a space science workshop on Saturday, April 4, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the AERO Institute in Palmdale.
Under the theme of “Living and Working in Space,” topics such as food, clothing and sleeping will be addressed, and questions about how astronauts’ prepare for travel, living and working in space will be answered.
The instructional workshop will provide a hands-on opportunity to bring a sensory experience to classroom science curriculums for grade levels kindergarten through 12. NASA Dryden Flight Research Center’s Office of Education sponsors the workshop.
The free workshop will provide NASA educational resources. To register for the first-come, first-serve event, contact Tibi Marin of NASA’s Aerospace Education Services Project at 661-276-3501 or Carlota.Marin@nasa.gov by April 1.
The AERO Institute is located at 38256 Sierra Highway, Suite A, in the Palmdale Civic Center.
