NASA Success:

  • Site is part of a technology transfer/commercialization success. ERAST-developed solar cell technology has been transferred to private industry, allowing mass production of these high efficiency cells for the commercial market.
  • In particular, site uses Helios solar-powered aircraft program-derived cells built by the SunPower Corp., Sunnyvale, Calif.
