DRYDEN ORGANIZATIONS

Structural Fabrication and Repair Branch - Project Reliance

The NASA Fabrication Alliance, established in 1994, evolved from Project Reliance, an Office of Aeronautics & Space Transportation Technology (OASTT, Code R) intercenter initiative created during the reinvention of NASA.

This task team, the Fabrication Alliance, also created implementation groups to make recommendations and seek out future opportunities for leveraging NASA resources. The task team seeks to better utilize dwindling resources and avoid unnecessary duplication of unique capabilities.

That alliance has now expanded to include most NASA Centers in its membership.

The team's competitive advantage rests with its collaboration of multi-skilled individuals, or technologists, transforming research ideas into complex, unique, working systems. Their motto is to turn "ideas into reality and problems into solutions."
