Description

The UAV Collaborative promotes the research and development of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for scientific and commercial use.

The UAV Collaborative has a four-year Cooperative Agreement with NASA. The joint goal is to conduct collaborative research, development, and demonstration, leading to enhanced scientific and commercial use of UAVs for high resolution imaging in the National Airspace System.

The collaborative is involved in several research and development projects, including image acquisition and processing activities, testing real-time telemetry systems, and implementing research opportunities for university students.

In addition the UAV Collaborative and NASA have executed a Space Act Agreement. Its purposes are to foster, develop, support, and manage collaborative endeavors among academia, NASA, and industry in support of research and development of UAV technology both for the National Airspace System and NASA's Space Program.
