NASA HOSTING SCIENCE UPDATE ABOUT JUPITER'S ICY MOON EUROPA

MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. –News media are invited to interview NASA 
Planetary Scientist Jeff Moore in addition to viewing a live 
televised broadcast of a Science Update from NASA Headquarters about 
new theories concerning Jupiter's moon at 10 a.m. PST on Wednesday, 
Nov. 16. 

NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., will show the 
Science Update broadcast live in the Syvertson Auditorium, building 
N201. Reporters may ask questions from NASA Ames or by phone. For 
dial-in information, reporters must contact Dwayne Brown at: 
dwayne.c.brown@nasa.gov with their name, media affiliation and 
telephone number by 9 a.m. PST Wednesday. 

Europa, which is slightly smaller than Earth's moon, is thought to 
have an iron core, a rocky mantle and an ocean of salty water beneath 
its frozen surface.
