NASA to Outline Vision for Moffett Field at Sunnyvale Meeting
MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – NASA representatives will discuss future plans for historic Moffett Field and NASA Research Park during a community meeting this week in Sunnyvale, Calif.
The town hall meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, in the Sunnyvale City Council Chambers, 456 W. Olive Ave., Sunnyvale, Calif. The meeting will be televised on KSUN-15, the city’s government-access television station.
The NASA presentation will be led by Steve Zornetzer, associate director for institutions and research at NASA’s Ames Research Center, who will explain the overall strategy and development plans for the airfield and NASA Research Park. SETI scientist Peter Jenniskens will discuss science missions conducted from Moffett Field resulting from partnerships between NASA and the private sector.
