NASA Ames to Conduct FY 2009 Budget Briefing for Local News Media
MOFFETT FIELD, Calif. – News media are invited to view a televised news briefing from NASA Headquarters about the agency’s Fiscal Year 2009 budget at 11:30 a.m. PST, on Monday, Feb. 4, at Ames Research Center.
Ames Director S. Pete Worden and Chief Financial Officer Paul Agnew will be available after the briefing to discuss the budget’s impact on Ames.
NASA Deputy Administrator Shana Dale will be joined by senior managers from the agency's Space Operations, Science, Aeronautics and Exploration mission directorates for the news conference which will be broadcast live on NASA Television and the agency's Internet homepage.
The televised news briefing will be shown in Ames’ main auditorium, Bldg. N-201. Only reporters present at NASA Headquarters will be able to ask questions in the televised briefing. Following the briefing, news media will be escorted to the committee room in Bldg. N-200 for a media roundtable scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. PST.
After the news conference, the associate administrators of the agency's mission directorates will hold teleconferences to discuss the budget's impact on their specific areas.

Each teleconference is scheduled to last 50 minutes. Reporters may join the teleconference of their choice by dialing the telephone number and using the pass code listed above and the call leader's name: Dave Steitz. The number of available telephone lines is limited.
