NASA Ames Workshop Considers Future Airport Planning
Experts from NASA, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the nation’s airports will gather Sept. 12-13, 2006, at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., for the 2006 NASA/Industry Airport Planning Workshop to discuss ways to improve future airports. News media representatives are invited to attend the workshop.
During the two-day conference, keynote speakers and expert panelists will discuss the challenges of planning for the future capacity needs of airports and how new technologies are providing solutions.
The workshop will be held in the NASA Ames Conference Center (NACC), Building 3, from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, Sept. 12 and from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. PDT on Wednesday, Sept. 13, followed by an optional tour of NASA Ames’ simulation facilities.
The 2006 Airport Planning Workshop is hosted by the NASA Ames Simulation Labs.
To reach NASA Ames, take the Moffett/NASA Pkwy exit from U.S. Highway 101. Turn right and continue to the main gate. The NACC is located on South Akron Rd., before Hangar 1. NASA Ames is located south of San Francisco and north of San Jose.
