NEWS RELEASE:  04-47AR

NASA AWARDS CONTRACT FOR PROTECTIVE SERVICES

NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif., will award a Delivery Order valued at more than $50 million to SecTek, Inc., of Reston, Va, a small business firm, to provide protective services.

Under the terms of this firm-fixed-price, time and material contract, SecTek, Inc., will provide a variety of protective services, including emergency services; fire prevention and code enforcement; security management; law enforcement and counterintelligence safeguards; training, public education and community relations services; contract management and administrative support services; and records management services.  Work will be performed at NASA Ames Research Center and the adjacent Moffett Field, Calif.

The five-year contract will have a period of performance of a two-year base period, followed by a one-year option and a two-year option for performance.
