NASA AMES DIRECTOR TO DISCUSS COLUMBIA INVESTIGATION

NASA Ames Research Center Director G. Scott Hubbard will hold an informal discussion and question-and-answer session with Bay Area news media representatives at 10 a.m. PDT on Thursday, Aug. 28. Hubbard is a member of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board, which yesterday released its final report investigating the loss of space shuttle Columbia and its crew of seven astronauts on Feb. 1, 2003.

Reporters should meet in the lobby of Building 200, the NASA Ames administration building, no later than 9:45 a.m. Media representatives who are planning to attend should notify Ann Sullivan at 650/604-3039 or by e-mail at Ann.Sullivan@nasa.gov by 8 a.m. on Aug. 28.

To reach NASA Ames, take the Moffett Field exit off U.S. 101 and drive east to the main gate at Moffett Federal Airfield. News media must present a government-issued photo I.D. and receive a badge from the NASA Ames visitor badging office.
