NASA ADMINISTRATOR ADDRESSES CAIB INITIAL FINDINGS
NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe will discuss the initial findings of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board (CAIB) during a televised news conference on Wednesday, Aug. 27 from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. PDT. NASA Television will carry the press briefing live from NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C.
Media representatives are invited view the live broadcast at NASA Ames Research Center, Moffett Field, Calif. The televised news conference will be shown in the main auditorium, Bldg. N-201 at NASA Ames. News media will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NASA Administrator during the live broadcast via a telephone link.
To reach NASA Ames, take the Moffett Field exit off Highway 101, drive east to the main gate and enter the visitor badging office to obtain a visitor badge. News media representatives must have valid government-issued photo ID in order to gain entry.
NASA TV is broadcast on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band, located at 85 degrees west longitude. The frequency is 3880.0 MHz. Polarization is vertical and audio is monaural at 6.80 MHz. NASA TV information is available on the Internet at:
