NASA FY 2001 BUDGET BRIEFING SCHEDULED

Reporters are invited to attend a live broadcast of a briefing on NASA's fiscal year 2001 budget request on Monday, Feb. 7, 2000, at 11:30 a.m. PST in the Main Auditorium, Bldg. N-201 at NASA Ames Research Center, Silicon Valley, CA.

NASA Administrator Daniel S. Goldin and NASA Comptroller Malcolm Peterson will answer questions during the briefing being held in the NASA Headquarters auditorium. The session will be carried live on NASA TV with two-way question and answer capability for reporters covering the event from participating NASA centers. A summary of the budget request will be distributed at the beginning of the press conference and also will be available on the NASA homepage:

To reach NASA Ames, take the Moffett Field exit off U.S. 101 and drive east to the main gate at Moffett Federal Airfield. At the main gate, stop by the Visitor Badging Office to obtain entry badges and receive directions to the Main Auditorium, located behind the Administration Building, N-200. Parking will be available in front of the Administration Building.

NASA television is on GE-2, transponder 9C, located at 85 degrees West longitude, with vertical polarization. Frequency will be on 3880.0 megahertz, with audio on 6.8 megahertz.
