6. Q: What did you find out from these Arc Jet tests of the crack patch?

Balboni: In general, we found that it survives -- it survives very well in small and in large cracks. Now, these were screening tests just to prove out the concept. And it was proved successful enough that further tests will be continued, probably at the Ames location and also in the facilities in Houston in which they ah they will then certify for flight that material, which means it then would be authorized to be used. As of now, it's still in the concept definition and screening phase of testing. (36 SECONDS)
