      Comets orbit the sun. Jets of gas and dust from comets form long tails
      that can be seen from Earth.

NASA sent the Deep Impact spacecraft to crash into a comet and study what it is made of.

Comets are sometimes called "dirty snowballs" because of what they are made of.
