As part of Space Station Today, Students and individuals around the world will have a chance to "see" inside the space program as part of a live Web cast hosted by NASA's Digital Learning Network - JSC. The Web cast, scheduled for Thursday, December 11, 2003 from noon -12:30 p.m. CST, will originate from Lyndon B. Johnson Space Flight Center in Houston and feature live discussions and opportunities to
ask questions of astronaut and International Space Station Program Mission Specialist Mario Runco, Jr.
The theme for this month's cast is Exploring Earth from Space...A look at Remote Sensing and Earth Observations. Students will learn the importance of imaging the Earth from space and how NASA uses this information as a basis to improve life here on Earth.

Mario Runco (Astronaut Presenter)
Mr. Runco, an Earth and Planetary Scientist, is currently assigned to
the Human Exploration Science Office of the Space and Life Sciences
Directorate at the Johnson Space Center. He is the Directorate Lead
for WORF Science and Utilization.
