Cartoon characters from The Space Place, NASA's award-winning Web site for kids, present their own talk show from the Space Place Clubhouse. In this episode, their guest is Dr. Chris Martin, a professor at CalTech and leader of the NASA space mission GALEX. The goal of "Space Place Live!" is to introduce kids to the human, down-to-Earth side of real scientists and engineers working in the space program. Each guest is presented as a passionate and accomplished role model for every child interested in science or engineering. Kids will hear about how Dr. Martin has taken his love of map-making and exploration and uses it to map out and explore the birth of galaxies.

This program was first broadcast on NASA TV Education File Schedule November 1, 2004.
