This 'Extra' feature highlights educational products, activities, multimedia and Web sites related to this month's theme "Space: Adventures in Exploration."

Space exploration stimulates the imagination of students of all ages. This month's theme focuses on guiding future space travelers in understanding the science of exploration. Bring the world of exploration into your classroom with NASA's educational multimedia products and teaching resources that focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics. A special section this month includes education materials developed through a unique collaboration that ties NASA space-related topics touched upon in the movie and book "Zathura".

This poster cover shows a house floating in space with two boys standing in the doorway looking out and roots hanging from underneath the house. The title at the top reads Could a House Launch Into Orbit. The words on the right side read Look to the Science of Space for the Answers. The words on the left read Zathura Coming to theaters this November. This is superimposed over an image of a planet with rings. There is a large gold colored rock on the bottom left side.

Educators can access and download exciting NASA-related posters, which include NASA standards-based lessons and activities. Two posters are available, one for grades 3-5 and one for grades 6-8. Along with the posters, two grade-level activities are available. These activities also relate to the space science theme in "Zathura".
