See how scientists use diffraction to study phenomena. In this program diffraction is defined in words and with images of water waves bending around an obstacle. The host of this program helps students make the analogy from water to light. Students will also learn the basic geometry of a wave, including trough, crest, amplitude, reference line and wavelength.
