This NASA video segment describes the different layers of the sun. Viewers learn that most of the sun's light comes from the photosphere, that the corona is a region of immense turbulence, and that nuclear reactions within the core of the sun convert matter to energy. The sun's magnetic field and solar flares are also discussed.
