This 5-E lesson plan helps students identify and describe the characteristics of Earth's moon; compare and contrast properties of the moon and Earth; and determine that a growth chamber would be needed to grow plants on the moon. Student sheets include a KWL chart and a Venn diagram about the moon, and pages about the moon that students complete and assemble into a booklet. Rubrics and national education standards are also included.
