Started in 1998, Earth Science Week is aimed at helping the public gain a better understanding and appreciation for earth sciences. Started by the American Geosciences Institute, Earth Science Week is held each October. This international event encourages Earth stewardship and reminds everyone that earth science is all around us.

Join NASA in celebrating Earth Science Week by reading about a few of the women at NASA who are making a difference in the study of our home planet.
