NASA's Visitor Center Offers Exotic Destination for Holiday Outing

Families looking for an exciting travel destination this holiday season won't have to travel far to gain a new perspective on the universe. NASA Glenn Research Center's Visitor Center, 21000 Brookpark Rd., Cleveland, offers interactive exhibits on air and space travel in four galleries covering 6,000 square feet. Regular exhibits include: AeroAdventure: Innovating Tomorrow's Engines; John Glenn: Tribute to America's Hero; and Space Communications.

Admission to the Visitor Center is free and wheelchair accessible. A government issued photo identification of all adult visitors is required and vehicles are subject to inspection. Access to the center by foreign nationals is subject to restrictions. Visitors should call 216-433-2000 in advance for details on current security restrictions as the Center's security status is subject to change without advance notice.

Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Saturday 10a.m. - 3 p.m.; and Sunday 1 - 5 p.m. The Visitor Center will be closed on the following dates during the holidays: December 24, 25, 26, 31 and January 1.
