  PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 
 
 
  • NASA Explorer Schools - Selected School Teams of educators and administrators will join NASA in a three-year partnership for sustained professional development to develop rich learning opportunities in mathematics, science, and technology for students and families.

  • NASA Aerospace Education Services Project - AESP is a comprehensive project designed to reach out to the formal and informal education community in all fifty states and the U.S. territories.

  • NASA's Educator Resource Centers - Located on or near NASA Field Centers, museums, colleges, or other nonprofit organizations. The ERCs provide educators with inservice and preservice training, demonstrations, and access to NASA instructional products.

  • Earth System Science Education Alliance - Supports educational institutions across the country in offering a series of online ESS courses for teachers. Working in collaborative groups, teachers earn graduate or continuing education credit while solving problems, building models, and designing classroom activities.

  • The National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program - Provides NASA funding for space-related research, education, and public service projects through a national network of 52 university-based Space Grant consortia.

  • NASA-sponsored Classroom of the Future - The Web site for the NASA-sponsored Classroom of the Future highlights K-12 products such as Exploring the Environment, International Space Station Challenge, ExoQuest, Storm-E and Astronomy Village: Investigating the Universe and Investigating the Solar System.

  • NASA's Learning Technologies Project - NASA's educational technology incubator. LTP funds activities and collaborates with endeavors that incorporate NASA content with revolutionary technologies or innovative use of entrenched technologies to enhance education in the areas of math and science.
