Shana Dale is sworn in as NASA's deputy administrator by Dr. John H. Marburger (left), Director, Office of Science and Technology Policy
(OSTP), Executive Office of the President. With Ms. Dale is Mr. Mike Fagan. The Nov. 29 ceremony took place at NASA Headquarters in Washington.
Before coming to NASA, Dale was deputy director for Homeland and National Security for OSTP, Executive Office of the President. She also served as the chief of staff and general counsel at OSTP. Earlier in her career, Dale was the staff director for the House Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics.
Dale is a graduate of the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma and received a law degree from California Western School of Law.
