FEMALE SPEAKER: I was at my boyfriend's house in Brockport, New York. We had gone out on a date, and we made sure that we were home early enough at his parents' house, so that we could be there to watch the TV screen and make sure that we were there when the Eagle landed, and of course, we were, and it was a day that I will never forget. I mean everybody. It was a wonderful day.
INTERVIEWER: The Eagle landed, and then man stepped foot on the Moon, Neil Armstrong. What was going through your mind when that took place?
FEMALE SPEAKER: I wanted to be there, so bad I could taste it. I just thought it was an awesome day for America, an awesome day for the world, and the accomplishments that we had done was just unbelievable, and to know they made it safe and that it was the beginning of just a new adventure in space, it was traumatic. It was awesome.
